Set across 159.61 acres (64.59 hectares) of land, Warley Park golf club comprises 27 holes, as well as practice facilities and a 10,000 sq. ft. purpose built clubhouse. The 18 hole course extends to 6,250 yards, par 71 and there is an additional 2,923 yard, par 34 nine hole course.

The golf course was originally developed under a joint venture in 1976 by John Brett, who remains the current freehold owner. Originally an 18 hole course, it was extended to the current 27 hole layout two years later. With over 40 years in operation, Warley Park is recognised as a mature and established course with a good reputation in the surrounding area.

The golf course was offered to let on behalf of John Brett by Savills Leisure division in January 2020, and after a short period of negotiation an agreement completed on the 24th April. An innovative lease structure was created to enable the clubhouse and outdoor wedding venue to be operated separately to the adjoining golf course.

The clubhouse will be operated by Zayyaan Limited, a successful restaurant and venue business with existing businesses including the Ark Royal venue at Lee Valley Golf Course and Bushey Country Club at Bushey Golf Course. They will invest in refurbishment of the clubhouse and improvements to the wedding and function facilities.

The 27 hole golf course will be operated by Get Golfing CIO, a Charity Incorporated Organisation (CIO) whose objectives are to encourage participation in golf for the purposes of improving the physical and mental health of its participants. The CIO was established in 2018 to operate Redlibbets golf club in north Kent, and is due to take on five further golf course in the coming months, in addition to Warley Park. Golf course users at Warley Park will continue to have access to the clubhouse facilities, with the two businesses working in parallel to mutual benefit.

John Brett comments ‘ I am delighted to have completed an agreement which will secure the long term future of Warley Park Golf Club as a successful golf course, with the added benefit of an experienced restaurant and venue operator who has an inspiring vision for the clubhouse and wedding operation’

Muhib Rahman, Managing Director of Zayyaan Ltd commented ‘I am pleased to have secured Warley Park as our next venture and am excited about the potential of the site where we will be able to apply our excellent standards of service to both golf customers and visitors to the restaurant and function facilities’

Ed Richardson, CEO of Get Golfing said ‘Warley Park is an excellent addition to our growing portfolio of golf courses. I am looking forward to working with club members, visitors and Zayyaan limited so that we can provide a first class golfing experience and encourage greater participation in the game as well as engagement with the local community’.
